Metlife Home Insurance and Dogs?
Are there specific breeds Metlife will not cover on homeowners insurance? We’re looking at an American Staffordshire Terrier (Amstaff) dog. (Dog has no history of biting or aggression–nice as can be!)
unless you have a standing dog exclusion in your policy if you obtain one during the policy period you are not obligated to call them up and get permission to buy a certain type of dog. if in the event of a claim, they will have to have prove that you lied about having the dog when the application was signed. all the claims i see are rarely from the most common vicious dogs. they are usually your every day dog that has been prevoked.
